Cybils –

In my post the other day, I wrote a letter to our judges as a way of introducing the short lists for the Easy Reader and Early Chapter Book Category. In 2010, Stacey Loscalzo and I were panelists for this category of the Cybils. This year, Stacey is a judge. Fanfare for a New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome 2012!! There is no better way to wake up on January 1 than to know that fellow kidlit bookworms are checking out all of the CYBILS short lists. Really. Is there ANYTHING more exciting than the prospect of new books to read? Dear Easy Reader and Early Chapter Book Judges, We have spent the fall talking about books in our category and narrowing the choices to finalists.  I am happy to report that the panelists did NOT make it easy for you. Call me Delinquent, Odd Duck, and Judge

With deep apologies to our ROCKING Category Organizer, Fiona Bayrock, I am way behind in sharing some news with the world. I am among an amazing team of panelists and judges for the Nonfiction Picture Book category for this year’s Children’s and Young Adult Bloggers Literary Awards (aka Cybils). My first “introduction” to Fiona was during our first Share a Story – Shape a Future literacy blog tour in 2008.
